Faced or Unfaced(?) insulation with air barrier behind showers located along exterior walls? What are yall's thoughts? Thanks!

I've usually seen paper faced insulation and a Tyvek or 3/16" plywood air barrier. It's probably best to slit the insulation facing, but it isn't that much of a vapor barrier anyway, especially if the insulation flanges are stapled to the sides of the studs.

Following up on this thread, if you used unfaced insulation, should the house wrap go to the top plate? Or, would you cut it off at the top of the shower stall and have the unfaced insulation continue up from there?

I'm looking at IRC table N1102.4.1.1, General Requirements vs Shower/Tub on Exterior Wall - how to satisfy both?
