Building a engineered metal building type IIb occupancy S-2

I can 't find if the door needs to be fire rated, I read internal doors do to be.

Then I read a final exit door to outside does not.

Any input appreciated.

Typically not unless there is an exterior area for assisted rescue or close to a property line or firewall, and sometimes exit enclosures....Maybe it's not as simple as I thought....LOL

Probably not, but there are a few cases where you might need rating on a final exit.
For example external staircases must be protected if non-sprinklered building.

Just met with fire inspector & building inspector.

No rating required, can use any type door.

thanks
