Is there an acceptable time from the point that a pull station is pulled until it activates the horn/strobes in the building? I can seem to find where in NFPA 72 it states that a time is required. I am fighting with the local school regarding the acceptable time. Any help appreciated.
 
10.9.2 Actuation of alarm notification appliances or emergency voice communications, emergency control functions, and annunciation at the protected premises shall occur within 10 seconds after the activation of an initiating device.
2010 Edition but check your fundementals section....often forgotton. Hope it helps!
