Fire Engine Display in a new Fire House

call it a "B" !!!!
I definitely think that is going to be the way to go. I don't the option with the sleeping areas on the first floor is going to fly, so the B option is going to be the simplest solution. I emailed my mechanical engineer for his opinion about how to ventilate, but as far as code goes that is the way to go. Thanks to all for your input!

call it a B and if no seperation is required, do have the fire truckin a seperate room, and maybe some viewing glass or something??

Just as a point of interest, my mechanical engineer responded and said that per the National Electrical Code, the building qualifies as a Minor Repair Garage. It is non-hazardous (non-classified), since there are no pits, no subfloors, or below grade work areas. As a non-hazardous location, there is no need for additional mechanical ventilation, like a car dealership with a display showroom. How about that, I would not have guessed that.

Can they do an attached enclosed area , like a separate garage but attached to the main building.

A little more money a little more land

Then again it may even be a "U" occupancy
