I am locating Fire Extinguishers on a Life Safety Plan.

A conveyor system (rectangular shaped when viewed in plan view) has an interior area that is only for maintenance personnel and can only be accessed be either crawling beneath conveyor segments or through doors / cabinets at either end of the conveyor system. The interior area is approximately 18 ft wide by 290 ft long.

Must I show fire extinguishers in this interior area?

If I assume there is a big box around the conveyor system and treat it like a piece of equipment, then the fire extinguisher locations provide coverage to reach the entire conveyor system perimeter.

At the moment, I have placed a note on the drawing for additional FEs to be added if required by the code official.
