it's a stand alone building, ibc 2015 and the illustration is from one of the exam questions that i don't have the answer for.
It's an interactive exam where one of the walls need to be chosen. I'm trying to understand what would be the reason if the wall between kitchen and restaurant need to be fire rated. Isn't kitchen is considered part of the restaurant occupancy? Similarly for the f&b storage as well. Does the size of the kitchen matter? Is there a code provision dictating this?
