When using an imaginary lot line to separate buildings on a site, can some of those buildings be sprinklered and others not? CBC 2022

For example, on one side of the imaginary line the building can comply with chapter 5 WITHOUT sprinklers, but the other building needs sprinklers to comply with chapter 5. Our concern is that if we sprinkler some buildings on a site, we'd be required to add sprinklers to the whole site.

So long as each building is evaluated on its own with regards to FSD, allowable area, classification, etc., then no, you would not have to sprinkle all.
