My company want to be able to transfer Class IB flammable liquids into bottles. Looking at the MAQ it seems like we can only package 30 gallons or 60 gallons at a time with sprinklers. We are H-3 Occupancy, want to be able to hookup a 275 gallon ibc to a bottling station and fill up bottles. How do larger operations get around the MAQ limits for class IB flammables? I know of plants that fill straight from huge tanks.

Any responses would be helpful.

Start with 415, then jump around chapter 5 and 6 a bit, then land on chapter 57 of the oregon fire code:

As an H-3 occupancy group, the MAQs do not apply. The MAQs set the maximum quantities that cannot be exceeded if you want to avoid being an H occupancy.
