Gaps in joist hangers

Generally either one of two things happen.

1) Pressure blocking between trusses called out by the truss company or,

2) the truss company spec's out the larger hanger to allow for the gap size correctly.

So I do like the simpson handout for DP and truss companies. I guess it will become another cut & paste for the design documents up front. Is not the code books all about the exception?
