Application # 1: I have an existing Commercial bldg. with a Kitchen in it.
There is one elec. circuit GFCI rated for receptacles within the 6 ft. linear
distance away from a Sink Faucet.
The Problem: Sometime during construction, an elec. circuit was added
to the interior GFCI rated circuit to include an exterior receptacle.......Now,
fast forward a few years, ...the exterior receptacle stops working, and
kills the elec. power to the interior circuit in the Kitchen.
Q1): Is the added exterior elec. receptacle allowed to be connected to
the interior GFCI rated circuit ?
Please cite the applicable Article or Articles in the NEC..........We are
currently using the `17 NEC, but when the bldg. was constructed,
...I do not know what edition of the NEC was used.
Application # 2: Are elec. receptacles "required" to be installed in
Commercial office spaces ?.......Again, ...please cite the applicable Article
in the NEC.
Thank you for your input !
