They must be starting to listen to me,

Before my arrival, it seems that no builder had heard of caulking floor to floor penetrations to prevent "the free passage of flame and the products of combustion".

I arrive for a framing/rough electrical/rough plumbing inspection today and doesn't every single penetration have a pretty red bubble . . . and as I am walking through, I see . . . an unused HORIZONTAL penetration (the electrician re-routed after the drill was made) . . . and didn't it have an niiiice red bubble. : ) . . . I raised my eyebrow and the GC just shrugged . . . : )
