Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving to you too.
I was suppose to go back to PA to spend Thanksgiving with my family for the first time in 6 years but got sick and canceled. Today is all about relaxing.

We will be having dinner with my brother-in-law and his family. Six miles from home. They come to us on Christmas.

I was thinking about what I am thankful for and all of the usual things are there and also the stuff that's not a thing like health and happiness. So then I focused on the business of being an inspector. The one entity of this trade that has never let me down is the permit technicians. I have come under attack from contractors, owners, managers and inspectors ..... the general public and especially other drivers but never, and I mean never has a permit technician not had my back. I am lucky enough that at the office I am currently in, they all have a pretty smile whenever I show up.

When you go back to work on Monday pay special attention to the permit technicians. If they are girls, tell them that they are pretty girls.....if they are boys, tell them that they should be girls.

Spent the day with family at my wonderful daughters home......eating, playing cards, catching up with folks from noon till after 11:00, great time, so thankful for family and friends. Hope y'all had an equally great day!

I had a wonderful afternoon with most of my family. My youngest was in SC with his wife and baby James, but the rest of them came. So nice to have my granddaughter hope for the weekend from her freshman year. I so miss her. I give the most humble of thanks for Gods blessing on myself and my family. All are healthy and safe. What more could a father want!
