Thanks Jeff for making this the best message board possible. And my hat off to everyone here keeping me in line and helping me improve my knowledge of the codes and rules of engagement. The rapports with everyone not only help me excel as a code official but improved my character too.

Happy Thanksgiving and God bless,

Francis Vineyard & Family

A Thanksgiving Prayer

"O God, when I have food,

help me to remember the hungry;

When I have work,

help me to remember the jobless;

When I have a home,

help me to remember those who have no home at all;

When I am without pain,

help me to remember those who suffer,

And remembering,

help me to destroy my complacency;

bestir my compassion,

and be concerned enough to help;

By word and deed,

those who cry out for what we take for granted.

Amen." Samuel F. Pugh

Well done Francis!

And I will pass on my wishes for all to have a happy and safe Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving has started early at our house.

We're used to having wildlife share the catfood bowl (on frt porch) at nite, but lately the waterbowl has had dirt in it.

My suspicions increased when I came home near dark a cpl of wks ago and I saw a raccoon barreling down the steps.

Last nite I heard a scuffle, got my high-beam recharge lite out, and swung the door suddenly to find FIVE raccoons on the porch.

Cats were witness, but had no comment.

Thanks to all here and thank you Presidnet Lincoln for this very special holiday.

Post script: -5 and snowing here. High today -2.

JP: 50 and sunny in the east. Perfect for some fall fishing.

We take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude."

Happy Thanksgiving all my friends!

Be abudently blessed and travel safely.

Dreary day here... no snow, but Gillette still sounds fine to me... we've decided that's where we are retiring to.
