Most of the time one does not win in the game of life. Back stabbers, knuckle heads and just life in general. I often say

to contractors I know are you winning today! They most often respond:( , but I laugh and me neither. Seem like life is beating a dead horse. The deer you missed, the big fish the got off etc. When it comes to money it seems that it is in one hand and out the other.

Today I won for a change. Not money, not the big fish or anything of that sort. If I think on my kids and grand kid I win everyday. But in live and the politics at work it is most often a different story. It has taken me three years to have the biggest fool :butt I every dealt with removed from office. There are still a few more crooks to get ride of but the rest will be easy. :D

Greetings and congrats,

That's wonderful. Perserverance does pay off I've found in just about everything!

I win lot's of free iPads on the internet. That's why so many local girls want to meet me.

often times winning or losing is like is the glass half full or half empty. congrats on your accomplishment. i read your posts, these jobs are frustrating. the public is frustrating. people don't care about what they do, or how they do it. keeping a good perspective helps. mine isn't always the best, and i have had days where i'm not fit to be around. however, i also have the choice every day to consider and or make a change if i so choose. as long as i still have a choice, i'm winning. i think about things like my parents, what they taught me, what my background is, not sp much what what people "think"know about me, but what my background really is. it's down right dynamite. yeah, i may not be in the right job, or the right community, or the right street, but i've got lots to fall back on (i'm talking skills here, not money), and a deck full of aces that i've built up in my lifetime. you can't loose with a deck of aces. especially when you really earned and own them all.

Sometime winning is its own reward. and you do have to be careful. Early in my professional design carrear I applied to my employer for a higher position in engineering for which I was qualified; I had been doing the work a mix of Architecture and Civil engineering at a junior level but wanted to move up. Lo an outsider from my same college applied and they hired him cause they liked me (go figure) because they wanted to develop the Architecture division and they liked me there too. So my new supervisor came in and wanted to do things in engineering contrary to company standards and procedures, If you know engineering firms that does not go well, but being a good company man and not putout by the new supervisor I conversed several times informing him of such procedures; to the point where he decided not to like me and it was to be his way, so thinking to myself OK the company made you the supervisor so do so. After several months of him butting heads (BUTT HEAD teehee) he no longer came to work at the behest of the management and they actually asked me why if I had such a good grasp of how things were to be done waas he so lacking? I just said he must have been sleeping while I studied! SO as you give enough rope to a Butthead they usually hang themselves........
