Welcome to the forum.

Your yahoo must have learned from the yahoo that did this.

toptobottom,

Welcome to The Building Codes Forum!

So that some of the other forum members & guests can relate ( better )

to your pictures and posting, can you please cite the applicable code

sections and from what edition of the codes you are using?

Thanks!

.

Thanks for the Welcome guys. I've been friends with jar546 for many moons - figured he would chime in soon.

This yahoo's home was in the Lake Wallenpaupack area of Pike County PA.

globe trekker,

Sorry, but I don't have the NEC as I'm only a Home Inspector in NY & PA and a NY Code Official where I reside. Here in NY our code books have been modified so I wouldn't want to possibly confuse matters by code section violations in case ours are different.

ICE,

With the acceptance of Gay marriage in many states now, I believe we should introduce our yahoo's together so they can unite in Un-Permitted Matrimony

It's nice to see someone is using camera and it helps that you're a little bit twisted too. Your pictures are a code violation in any jurisdiction with any code version.

Are these yahoo's home owners trying to do there own work or was this work done by a licensed electrician? There is a big differance!

The picture that I posted above was a guy hired off the corner. The pictures below are a licensed electrical contractor's best effort. I couldn't open the cover because it is sealed with silicone. The j-box cover will not close because the conduit is too large for the box. I wrote nine other corrections as well. When I get inside I'm sure to write some more.

So what's the difference?

Here's another example of a license holder's work.
