Just finished submitting 8 proposals for changes to section 410. Pretty much would rewrite the whole chapter. Still working on adding to substantiation and cost impact.

January 10 is deadline for this cycles group B code sections.

Do you talk with the NY code development folks? Our region VI group would be happy to give you some feedback.....
 
If anyone here is interested, I will share our proposals that all together rewrite section 410.

The CDPaccess was running like molasses yesterday, deadline afternoon. Making a mental note to mark deadline on my calendar for the day before next cycle.

Pretty sure I just said it was a mistake…thinking about it some more when I wasn’t sleeping last night… Take a typical multi family with a basement for storage, laundry, whatever….the change of use argument is out the window when they want to add dwelling units in the basement. When can still use change of occupancy but it is now R2 to R2 so you don’t get sprinklers for those 100 folks sleeping in the basement…and maybe not EERO….
 
Just registered and will make reservations for travel and hotel in a day or two. At the outside, April 30 to May 5. May get confidence I can trim a day at both ends. All my proposals are in G.

Still waiting to see if I get a scholarship...My education budget (that this would come out of) for a department of 7 is $3230 for the year and I like my staff to be educated as much as possible...
 
Heading to hearings tomorrow. Should be there through the end of IBC-S cah. Not much time outside hearings but always like putting faces to names here.
