Wanted to share with the sawhorses here a "feature" of the ICC board that I just discovered:

If you click on the user's name of the last poster on a thread in the ICC forum (or any poster within a thread), you can hover over an icon next to the "www." in the address bar, which pops-up a message: "This website does not supply identity information."

BUT...

While the user profile window only shows their "handle" and other such intentionally shared information, the title of the tab is the user's personal name (which does not appear in their profile) and the web address includes their e-mail address (which also does not appear in the user's profile).

Some consolation, this "feature" is not available on the historic posts.

I'll be posting a note for Kyle on the ICC board, too.

In the meantime, if you are one of the more clandestine members, you may want to adjust the information ICC displays for you!

If only someone had suggested to Kyle that instead of rolling their own software they could just use vBulle...Oh, never mind.

Yeah, been there done that, ICC played the cards that they wanted to talk to the forum users............and it fell totally on its keester. Some talk, the last I looked at their forum, it was as bad as it was when we met.........
