Trying to determine if I can have an inswing door into a Type A restroom. I understand the clear floor space requirements but not following the exception. What I think the code is getting at is that if the person in the wheel chair can enter the bathroom with the door swinging in and can get out of the way of the door swing then close the door and have access to the clear floor space requirements at a particular fixture, then you can have the door swing in.
What I'm not following is why they would be giving this as an exception since in my mind this would always be the case. UNLESS they are talking about the 5/0 radius being beyond the door swing- which technically is not a "clear floor space" in my way of thinking about it.
Anyway, curious as to everyone's interpretation of the exception.
