ICC forum?

Is it just me or is it not anywhere near the quality we have here? Went there for the first time in forever after seeing multiple people here post about "another forum" and thought that might be it...Only a quick peek, but there didn't seem to be much there....
 
Steve..... Quick History lesson - ICC had a forum for free, they (the International Cash Cow) appeared to become upset with badgering of the cow and free code advice given on their forum -so the great cash cow said enough! Off with its head....... Jeff (aka the great one), took us up on establishing a forum where freedom rings, and occasional gripes about the cash cow could be made without reprisals.

Since Jeff took this project on board, we have grown to the point we are where we are today... The Only Forum!!

Builder Bob, thank you for the accolades, however, I am not the "great one" and will never be. RJJ is the one that called me to tell me about what was happening and that when I decided to do something about it back in October 2009. I want to remind everyone that this forum exists solely for 2 reasons and 2 reasons only:

1) Those that participate and make it an informative place by sharing all their knowledge and participating in discussion.

2) Those that reach into their pockets and contribute financially as a Sawhorse or Supporter.

Without participation to build up this forum and without money, this would just not exist. Basically, the thank you goes back to all of you!
 
Well said Jeff!....It just suprises me (and doesn't) That they are ratcheting up on the CEU's and hammering all of the copyright stuff, when all most of us are trying to do is our job which usually involves the sharing of information... The more we know, the more we share and teach, the more everyone learns and the better our built environment is, and that is the intent of the codes....

I pop in to ICC's every few months, just out of curiosity, and after spending only a few minutes there, I remember why we all went screaming into the night...........thank you RJJ and Jeff for getting this bad boy going! Yes, it is the loyal participants and sawhorses that help float the boat, but you both had the foresight to launch it..........best code forum on the web!
 
Since retarded people (or whatever the current politically correct term is) are covered by ADA, an activist group of retarded people should demand money from the ICC because the forum isn't "accessible".

The old ICC forum was good, they redid it and this forum was the usable replacement. They had a meeting to try to get ideas to fix and many of us were there, the revised ICC forum was still not user friendly and withered at last time I checked been awhile.
 
Yeah, the meeting, and the resulting site, is and was a hoax........they really took none of our input.......and their results show. All the more reason for everyone to step up and fund this forum, I do not want to go back there.
 
Thanks Mr. Fat... and I agree, ICC really didn't take what we told them seriously (Which is why I haven't been back there in a very long time).

I tried to log in there but I can't remember the password. The password help where you can get an email sent to you said that there is no record of my email address. So I tried to create an account with that email address but it says that there is already an account with that email address.
