I am looking for a consultant in CT who has experience designing with old mill type buildings consisting of mass masonry. With the special considerations that need to be taken with these type of buildings i would like to hire a consultant. Any one have experience, or know of someone in the Connecticut area who can help with this.

Thank you,

Looking at thermal, and how it affects that type of building structurally. solid masonry walls that are uninstalled such as you get from old mills seem to respond differently when you insulate them from the inside. Once you encase the interior with insulation, vapor barrier etc could potentially lead to rotting wood beams (maybe) interior masonry wall surface that wont dry, freezing issues with a solid masonry wall that can be wet, etc.
