IPC 2006 - S Occupancy Shower Requirement: Table 403.1

References IPC 411 for Emergency Showers and Eyewash Stations

Is this requiring the installation, or simply referencing the ISEA Z38.1 Standard.

The 2006 International Plumbing Code references Section 411 for Emergency Showers and Eyewash Stations in Storage Occupancies which uses the ISEA Z358.1 standard. I assume this to be a requirement in F & S Occupancies. I do not have a copy of the standard. I do not know if these are required to be fixed or if they can be portable. Does anyone have any information on their requirement. Are they an OSHA requirement?
 
The requirements are only for if they are installed. Table 403.1 does not require them to be installed. OSHA may require them if there is a hazardous nature within the occupancy.
