Honestly, one of the most sobering things for me about videos like this is how instantly life can change from a happy moment to great pain and loss, even when you are very responsible and careful.
 
I had a collapsed lung a few years ago. They inserted the suction tube without anesthesia -- it gave me an entirely new perspective of what ten is when they ask you to rate pain on a scale of one to ten.
Yep, same thing. I was in the ER and had the chest tube put in emergently without pain control. It sucks going in and coming out.

Glad you are OK Jeff....I did in some ribs on my wreck years ago and the first sneeze brought some tears....Had a fingernail ripped out with no anesthesia in the hospital once and that was a little spicy too...
 
Did they waterboard you too?
Nah...American healthcare....Somehow didn't think dissolvable stitches were the right approach under the nail with some fingertip trauma (think log splitter) they put the nail back in as a placeholder so the new nail would grow in...And then it was time to get the stitches out....
