If anyone works in a department big enough to have a Deputy Building Official as a formal, designated position in addition to the Building Official, I would appreciate it if you would send me a copy of the job descriptions for the Building Official and Deputy Building Official positions.

Thank you. The first link wasn't much help. I need job descriptions for "Deputy" Building official, not "Assistant" Building Official. And it appears that some jurisdictions use "deputy" the way we use "assistant." What I need is job descriptions for a Deputy Building Official that treat the position the way the military treats a unit's Executive Officer -- a #2 person who is a notch (or a half-notch) above the rest of the staff.

There were a couple of positions that fit that in the second link. Much appreciated.

Reach out to Dwight in Bloomfield or Dan in simsbury… they both have elevated deputy positions
