I use IE all the time and never have issues. I have the whole MS ecosystem, Surface Pro tablet with windows 8, and the Windows Phone, both of which use IE 11 natively and they work wonderfully. One of the Surface forums I frequent has quite a few conversation about previous users of Chrome, Firefox etc. all say that after some time with the new version of IE that they are pleasantly surprised and actually prefer it now. Particularly the new touch enabled "Metro" version on the tablet. Most of them mention there distain for the old IE, LOL. The new MS ecosystem is AMAZING. From the new OneDrive cloud storage to the unified OS across all devices, it is truly a new direction for them and I am enjoying it so far. I can go from my home desktop to my work desktop to my tablet to my phone and have the same experience and access to everything I need. Just some food for thought.jar546 said:Any issues with being logged out are a direct result of the browser you are using, the settings within your browser and the keep me logged in checkbox. I never have to log in and I have a user id and password just like everyone else. Please check your settings and for the record I have not used Internet Explorer in years and have no intention to do so again.
Yeah, I've all the stories, blah, blah ,blah. OSX and iPads have the same issues to some degree or another. Just look at the big hole they had to plug last week. They only feel secure because it has such a small portion of the desktop market that hackers don't waste their time. While I will admit the MacBook Air is a nice piece of equipment and has it's place it is still limited by the exclusivity of the "walled garden" of Apple. That may work for some but no thanks not for me.ICE said:I used to be a PC user. I remember the days when I had to call someone because I tried to load a printer driver etc. I remember paying every year for anti-virus software. I remember the delete button working backwards from the way it should. I remember a third of the storage space being taken up by programs. Well that's about as much as I can remember. Admittedly, the iPad is no computer---- the Macbook Air is.
