Mag locks and listed hardware in California

The 2010 CBC section 1008.1.9.8 has modified the IBC to require listed hardware. We want to use a magnetic lock application for glass doors which operate for egress in one direction. It is not required for both directions, however what we propose is to tie the mags to life safety, it will release during a power outage (essentially fail safe), use a motion sensor release on the egress side, and provide a large button release. My concern is is requirement #2 which says "The listed hardware is capable of being operated with one hand." and #3 "Operation of the listed hardware releases to the electromagnetic lock and unlocks the door immediately". In your opinion are listed mag locks allowed on egress doors?

Another option would be to use electronic strike plates. With these there is a normal panic bar on the inside of the door that moves the latch part of the door instead of releasing the striker. These are completely fail safe because they are completely mechanical for egress.
