If anyone ever reads our blog or happen to notice the new banner that separates Residential & Commercial areas, I will elaborate.

We have partnered with Amazon as an affiliate. This means that if anyone makes any purchase from Amazon via clicking on the new banner, we get a little finder's fee at no additional cost to you. This will help to reduce the expenses of running this forum. There is no difference between you typing in Amazon on your own computer or clicking through from here other than we don't get credit if you don't click through. This is one more way I am trying to utilize to generate revenue for the every growing forum.

So once again, if you make a purchase from Amazon as a result of you clicking on the Amazon banner in the middle of this page, we will get a small finder's fee at no additional cost to you. We are legally required to make you aware of that and I also hope that those that know it will remember to come here and click through to make their Amazon purchase.

Thank you,

Admin

Now that's a cool idea. A couple times a week stuff from Amazon shows up on my front porch.

I don't do any of the buying around here. Wendy does all of that. So if I email her a link to the forum home page, she can store it on her desktop and when she wants Amazon, she can open the link and hit the button.

Yes. I am testing it out now. I just placed an order of books and a SD card for the camera. Let's see what happens.
I did it too and it works fine. Well I didn't buy anything but Wendy is all set.

Wendy is putting an order together and will send it within minutes.

Now she's not....found out that there was $38 shipping.....coffee, oatmeal and an alarm clock had $38 in shipping....well she'll be shopping soon.

Ok, I tested the waters and made a purchase through Amazon. It appears to work but we only get credited once the item shipped and they only transfer money once a month, once you hit a minimum amount. Again, if you make a purchase through Amazon by clicking to get there through the banner in the middle of this forum between Residential and Commercial, we get credited with a small fee.

I don't do much on Amazon, but in the future I wall funnel it through here.
Buy your Cheetos there and Jeff can retire.

Why is it always about food with you fatboy?....oh ya it's.....

We are up to $4.09 from my Amazon order. So when you purchase stuff from Amazon by clicking on the link in the middle of the forum page between Commercial and Residential, we actually do make some money. Have your significant other get to Amazon from our page and help the cause. I am excited about this one.

Jeff, a casual observation here......

I usually load the main page and quickly use the what's new tab to look at the latest postings..... my eyes rarely venture down the forum page.....

Maybe placing the amazon banner on the top of the list for the what's new search feature would help remind some of us old timers to use that link....

I was just thinking the same thing because I do the same. The problem is that I don't want to take away from the auto-generated Google AdSense banners that do generate revenue, although not consistent.

I order occasionally from Amazon.. usually Kindle book downloads, but other stuff too. One of my employees does ALOT of shopping on Amazon, so I'll send him this way.

For Sawhorses, the gaudy banners have been reduced to just this:

That's a good thing.

Now why am I seeing this?
