My assistant fire Chief gave this to me anyon know anything

Nope not at all

Been around for years, forgot what company started using it

Some ahj's do not like it because

1 obsures exit , which I do not agree with, but some say the firefighters Or burglars will get lost in the building

2 some say that the firefighters or other passerbyers will think the building is on fire

Just a matter if you will allow them

Typically called a "Smoke Cloaking" feature. Saw them a few years ago but would not be permitted by IFC, 101 or 1 due to visibility obstruction of exits.
So would a co2 extinguishing system be allowed in a building?? They kind of fog up the room

Then there is theatrical fog machines

And then there are etc, that can obscure an exit but are allowed

Just a thought

Also thought these were kind of set in certain areas of the building, say the pharmacy, which may not be near an exit

And would say normally set when the business is closed with no people in it
