What are the chances of renaming a few of the topics that get no action? Wildland Urban Interface has four threads and sewage has five. I don’t think anyone would miss them as much as Elevators and Institutional. Building Designers and Cad/Software Discussion are DOA so there are six topics looking for a new name.

Here’s a new name: "Lost and Found" and it's all about useful links, PDF files , etc. I see many great links scattered about the forum such as this one

http://www.chesterfield.gov/WorkArea/linkit.aspx?LinkIdentifier=id&ItemID=4142

It would be helpful if there were one place that could contain nothing but links. A simple description in the title and post the link is all it would take.

Any suggestions out there? It should be cheap enough to change the topic names as opposed to creating new topics so this stands a chance of happening.

I like the ideas and they can be implemented at no cost other than my time which is free. The forum topics that were added were added because someone/some people requested it but the interest was not there. I did want to have a useful links area but did not want to pay to have that done. I tried by myself and failed at it. That requires some programming.

If you folks can get a consensus together as to what you want, please let me know. Adding topics is free........

If there are forums without action and others feel that they could be better utilized, I think it's a great idea, don't need any dead zones. As to what they may be, I'll have to ponder on that myself.

I will leave some that seem dead in the hopes that they will eventually be used and build over time. I would rather have it than take it away. It just might be the link that brings 1 person to this site. We can always add.

A useful links area with special features would be nice but a bare bones, hit or miss, for free, topic has potential to be useful. As long as the thread title says what the link is, it should be a hit.

CAD/Software could just be "Software Questions."

Sewage could be renamed "Best Practices for Dealing with ****."

Great idea for a section with just links. It would make it easier to go through and find a link you are looking for or, just browse what has been posted.

Can we get a 'building violation pics' section it would make it so much easier to look at ICE's post.

Some of ICE's photographs are focused on, in my estimation, above ground sewage work.

I love the idea of a "Links" page. The only downfall I see is that some posters would start getting off track and you would have to weed through a bunch of BS to get to what you are looking for.

I have been guilty of this in the past. Someone posts a link and then it reminds me of something else and I post something which in turn reminds someone else of something else and then someone else reminds them of something and then something reminds me of something else and then it is totally ...................................... I forgot where I was going with this because I got off topic!

As long as we keep in mind to stay on topic it will work. I think! :)
