NEC 422.13 Verbiage Change

Does anyone know why the verbiage was changed between 2020 and 2023?
Because "ampere rating" is a more precise term than "size," which could cover diameter or some other measure.

You can look up the Public Input and Public Comments from the NEC code revision process at nfpa.org/70. Under the main heading "Current and Prior Editions", choose the version with the addition or change you are interested in and scroll down to "First Draft Report" or "Second Draft Report."

In this case the CMP (Code Making Panel) statement was "The text was changed to provide clarity and to comply with Annex A of the NEC Style Manual. The informational note was revised to comply with the NEC Style Manual."

Cheers, Wayne
