Most users ever online: 70 yesterday. Think the excerpt from Beach's Code of Ordinances had anything to do with it?

WOW, I thought it would be a while yet before we passed the previous high, which I think was 67.

I think that is a far cry from this boards potential. We all need to bring in one new member. I tell all the inspectors I run into about this, they must be too busy.;-)

not just inspectors... the industry.. this is a great place and no matter what (if anything) ICC resurrects, it won't replace this board.

Peach,

And, the choir said; "Amen" :D

The beauty of this forum is that, regardless of your professional or personal interest in the building industry and codes, there is something for you; and, everyone here has an equal right to post their questions, opinions, affirmations and/or objections.

There is more code knowledge and experience on this forum; than any other website, including the ICC's; and always will be.

Oh, and I forgot the most important part; we have absolutely no affiliation, have no obligation, and are not controlled or inhibited by any special interest or group.

I am very grateful,

Uncle Bob

It seems like the inflow of new members has started to increase base on the emails I get daily for new members. I haven't had much time over the several weeks to be on the BB much, but we are now at 821 and I have checked to see who is still in queuing line up.

I agree! Some are spammers and I have not been much help to Jeff as of late. Hopefully, I will have some time soon. I am starting to not liking all the Extra work that is being dumped on me. To many problems and so few solutions!

Well they are cutting pay and piling on the problems. It just seems like every inspection is becoming a problem. Bad enough with bad work to deal with, then add in the political interference with the job and one starts to see the good out boy situation start to arise.

Three times this week I been ask to bend the rules. My days are numbered!

click, "who's online"... discount spiders and bots, notice the pattern of many "guests"... IP trace, you'll be offshore.

DRP.. you must have toooo much time on your hands.. and you spoiled the excitement..

do you also give away the plot of the movie to those who haven't seen it, as well?

spoil sport. :)

What is IP trace?

Bootleg; This is one trace I like, you get a little geography lesson from every spammer.http://en.utrace.de/?query=112.111.172.12When someone accesses the site they leave the adress of their IP, internet service provider. This gives the basic area (usually) of where the machine was that accessed the site. The numbers at the end of that link are the IP of a spammer I banned from another forum. Feel free to click, you'll learn a little more about how the net works, it'll show that as I thought he was a chinese vendor hawking his wares. You can replace that IP with any other and see where the entity is logging in from. If you have alot of guests coming in from say one area of the APNIC network, time to brew a big pot, you're about to get a wave of spam. Google "WHOIS", this will bring up several more traces. There are also places where admins share adresses of spammers.Didn't mean to spoil the party Peach, more of a heads up. I'm better with hammer and nails but I have swung a 2x at a spammer on occasion. I've been expecting to see this when I log in one day :)
