OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION

Good morning, has anyone had any experience with occupancy classifications for church buildings, specifically for parsonage or rectory or a space within a church thats used for permanent living quarters? Would it be categorized as an R-3 occupancy?

I could go with R-3, or maybe R-2, depending on the layout.

2014 NYC Building Code section 310.1.3 puts convents and monasteries with no more than 20 occupants in R-3.

Rectory = a rector's house; parsonage.
