Ok, now having to go back and relearn occupant load and calculating.

So say a exercise facility that has a basketball court room. Normally they have more than two hoops in the room.

So say 7000 sq ft room, what occupant load factor would you use?

Assuming no seating/observation area, I'd go with calling it an exercise area at an OLF of 50 gross. See IBC Table 1004.1.2.

Keep in mind that you must design for the maximum condition.... so if the space may be used for an assembly function (i.e. a special event like a seminar, graduation, etc.), design for that occupant load as well.

Thanks all, going with 50

Just the basketball court thru me, I see some with just two baskets, and other with six or more, So I was undecided at first.
