With these 2 sections, what is everyone requiring? Laying on the floor is "supported.".....If it is routed in the corner it is (or may not be) likely to be damaged. just saw one with about 20' not even fastened and it gave me pause.....Don't know if I can call it plumbing and say every 6' fastened, but maybe.... A little concerned that something or someone gets caught on it and yanks it across the room and breaks it....

Section M1301.1 - Scope [ in the `15 IRC ] allows one to refer to
the IMC & the IFGC for more specific requirements.

I could only find Section 1305.2 [ from the `15 IMC ] - Protection
of pipe, equipment and appliance.........."Fuel oil pipe, equipment

and appliances shall be protected from physical damage".

The Code Official has the authority to render their interpretation
of this Code... " [ from Section 104.1 - General, `15 IRC ].

IMO, ...the Code Official has the [ legal ] authority to require
approved methods of securing the oil piping to the concrete flooring,
to prevent movement \ displacement \ trip hazard \ damage to the
piping.
