I have a product call Sense on my electrical system https://sense.com/ that has the ability to monitor my electrical use by appliance through monitoring the signature of the noise on the electrical system (it works for some devices) accuracy is sometimes questionable.
It seems that Ting is moniting for the arching signal on the electrical system, how it could tell you the device especially if it was a wire in a plug I dont know.
