Old School?

I seem to remember a thread on the old post about old framing terms posted by RJJ and I got to thinking about an old lay-out method I learned when I started framing in '88, has any-one heard af laying out the walls from north-to-south and from east-to-west? Just wondering if there really was such a thing, or if it was just his method.

I've never heard of it in California........and we framed things "differently"..........

You just need to do it consistently..........that way everything stacks, makes it easier. JMHO

I always started in the front left hand corner.

That way I didn't have to keep North straight.
