Paying attention to joist hangars

Something did not look right at first glance on this LVL to LVL connection point.

Further looking revealed that this was an I-Joist hangar bent to fit and not the correct hangar for this application. This point was carrying 1/2 the load of 7 I-Joists for the 2nd floor.

Correction would be "Provide manufacturer's approval for altering joist hanger". You know they won't get it.
