Please Block the Lady ads

Has anyone else here ever seen one of these ads? I'm doubtful..

I thought the rest of the folks explained it to you in the other thread, but typically - the ads you see are generated ON YOUR END. Someone using the computer you're using is looking at things related to whatever ads you're seeing. So, someone is searching "Russian babes" or something similar on your computer. Make that stop, and those kinds of ads will go away.

Or if you won't acknowledge that that could be the problem - Adblock plus is awesome. No ads anywhere.

On edit: I turned off Adblock and I'm still not seeing these, so I don't think it's anything to do with the site. BUT, if Jeff is selling advertising to E-block cuties and I just can't see it, then please disregard this post. ;)

Mostly retirement planning and IT related adds (CISCO, GoToMeeting, etc).

All relate to my known browsing history.

JCraver ( and others ),

I get those E-Bloc, Oriental, Latino, & American Hotty
ads all the time.........I am the only user of my computer
and have never & will never, click on one of the ads, nor
have I searched for or visited any of those types of sites.

I agree that Jeff needs to make money for this site, so
I will keep on coming to this Forum, irritating ads or not.

We DO have another option though !..........Simply have
more financial contributions forwarded to Jeff so that
he can afford to remove the ads.......All this site needs
is more money to adequately cover the "ever increasing"
operational costs..........I am relatively certain that Jeff
is not making any profit in keeping this Forum up &
running.

On behalf of keeping this invaluable resource operational,
I am requesting that "if" you can, ...to please send in a

financial contribution to Jeff.

Thanks for your consideration !

I don't get the lady ads, usually it is related to some site or search that was recent.

Right now getting a them for WallyPark from making a parking reservation. Was getting hotels, same reason.

Interesting. So so far, we have you and ADA Guy who've seen 'em. Wonder if there are others, and what similarities there may be between the 2 of you and/or your computers/networks/settings/etc which would make them show up?

Like I said - if this is a site-wide thing and not limited to a single user, then I withdraw that whole first post.

Can't you block these irritating eastern block ads?

We don't have any paid advertisers. Google places the banners that are appropriate for the computer use or at least tries to. We have nothing to do with ANY banner advertiser. Everyone sees something different.

However, if anyone knows of a company that would like to place a banner on this site, please let me know.

A few years ago we had a young friend staying with us, and she queued up my Netflix profile with "Say Yes To The Dress" type reality shows. For the next year I kept getting "Recommended for You" shows that were all about brides and dating, and there was no "clear history" function to make Netflix smarter.
After she left, the only cure to make my Netflix home screen slightly more manly was to binge-watch "Sons of Anarchy".

To be fair to ADAguy, it's not just sites you visit that get promoted. The almighty Google algorithm analyses what sites you go to and then recommends sites that other people who go to those sites go to as well. Go to Progressive.com? well, a lot of people who went there also went to gotoinsure.com as well, so we should show them that add. This can extend beyond the isolated industry you are in (insurance to insurance). Looking for home insurance? well do I have the real estate company for you!

As indicated by others, the best bet is to routinely clear your browser history. This is basically a reset for the algorithm (unless you have social media open as well). Alternatively, you can get an add blocker, but if we all do that Jeff looses money, so it's a bad idea.
