Do not know anything about ramps

Looking at a 46 foot long ramp

No intermediate landings at all

12 to 14 per cent slope

So how many problems are there???

Ibc 2003

Are you looking at this ramp as an idea on paper...

or is it already constructed?

Does this problem require an eraser...

or a bulldozer?

If this ramp is part of an accessible route or part of the required means of egress, then the maximum slope is 1:12 and an intermediate landing is required. Handrails are required on both sides.

Just to clarify - if this is a ramp for humans to use, and is part of an entry / exit system, then most of the comments above would apply... break out the sledgehammers.

On the other hand, if this "ramp" is actually a car ramp, or a skateboarding ramp, or a child's play slide, or for something for other than pedestrian + wheelchair travel at a facility, then there may be some wiggle room here.

The max slope is not 8. % or is 1/12 = 8% Sorry not in office or would post code section

If this ramp was part of an indoor play equipment with a 2nd level , not floor

Would that change Anyones answer????? And allow the steeper slope????

2nd level could hold about 15 to 20 people

not a sliding board

two seperate ramps down from an upper platform maybe 400 to 900 sq ft

about 9 feet off the floor
