Hi Folks,
I'm looking at a large unenclosed rooftop platform for a solar array - likely steel grating, but possibly supported by heavy-timber or steel columns from one floor below the roof level. Is the IBC quiet on the fire ratings for rooftop platforms and their associated supporting members? I've read through 505 and 1510 and have found nothing related to this. It's not really a "floor" as it's not part of the roof structure.

[BG] 1510.9 Structural fire resistance. The structural frame
and roof construction supporting imposed loads upon the roof
by any rooftop structure shall comply with the requirements
of Table 601. The fire-resistance reduction permitted by
Table 601, Note a, shall not apply to roofs containing rooftop
structures.

A little more information is needed for a full answer...And maybe a clearer question...
