Room Area for sloped ceiliings

My question is about sloped ceiling heights for a bedroom. The 2006 IRC section 305 states at least 50 percent of the required floor area of the room must have a ceiling height of at least 7 feet. If a bedroom has a slope ceiling and the floor area is 130 square feet between 5 feet and 7 feet. There are two beds to be placed in this room. Is the 50 percent taken from the 130 sq ft or from the 100 sq ft required for two occupants?

Thanks for the reply. When I read the section the word "required" makes me think of the 100 sqft minimum required for two occupants within a bedroom.

Portions of a room with a sloping ceiling measuring less than 5 feet (1524 mm) or a furred ceiling measuring less than 7 feet (2134 mm) from the finished floor to the finished ceiling shall not be considered as contributing to the minimum required habitable area for that room.
