I'm taking a couple of days off next week.....mental health days.

Started with the former 'contractor' and the fireplace. Went to small claims court on that one, 'contractor' didn't bring required/requested receipts to court, judge not happy. Receipts to be in courts' hands by the 30th of this month, court date rescheduled for July 8th. Waiting to see if I get another subpeona. Talked to the guy from Contractors State License Board about this job last week.

Same former 'contractor' hired by homeowner to build garage. A couple of phone calls and an anonymous letter about 'how can so and so build that garage when he doesn't have a license?" I redtagged the job until someone provided me with proof of license, w/c, etc. Homeowner finally provided me with w/c proof, 'contractor' is still giving me the old song and dance (I'm waiting on my bond.......yeah, sure).

Throw in another contractor complaining about the house he bought remodeled by xyz contractor. Talked to the guy from Contractors State License Board about that job.

Today was the topper. Overheard Chief of PD talking to FM about the crappy job PW guy did hooking up the diesel tank to the generator. (see thread under commercial mechanical). I did not hit the roof, though it took every ounce of control to not reem someone's a$$ for not getting a permit, consulting about clearances, etc. I was and am still livid! Chief of PD thinks that he can do whatever he wants to when he wants to and that everyone should just 'go along' with it! This is why we have non-compliant, non-accessible teller windows in city hall and PD. :banghd

I do agree that the installation was crappy, am still waiting for answers on the questions I posted in commercial mechanical.

Thanks for listening..........

It's what some have called " The I.A.A.M. Syndrome ".

"It's Always About Me!".......Typical, self first & only

mindset.

This type of mindset is the mindset of the majority

of the world today Sue........These type of people

cannot and WILL NOT be bothered with such

trivialities as other people needs and interests.

BTW, keep on ranting, it DOES help to vent.....Besides,

there are a lot on here who are going through either

the same or worse.

One of the most comforting things that anyone can

say to someone who is going through one of the

Storms of Life is, ..."Me too!, or I've been there!"

Hang in there! :D

FMWB - Aha, now the syndrome has a name! Thank you. :)

When I have contractors, the county inspector, and friends telling me that I seem to be a bit stressed, I know I'm in trouble. Sometimes it's just too many "Argh" and "You gotta be kidding me" moments for me to handle.

I am taking two days off next week, immersing myself in yardwork, and trying to forget work for a couple of hours.

Thanks for naming them and their problem. I don't get along well with liars, cheats, or divas (me,me,me,meeeee) for that matter. ;)

Sometimes it's like crossing green pastures where one out of ten steps will take up 90% of your time cleaning off the stink. Be sure to say thanks to the other nine that made your day; they'll hear you forever.

feel free to vent.. dear brethern and sis-terns.. don't get me started on really rough weeks!!!!!!!

Step back and take a deep breath. Know that it's ok to rant. It is well to do so. The question I have is how can we support you? Many here have been in the same boat. We do understand.

JP, take a nice magnum or 1911 from the gun safe and a box of ammo to the range. Put some rounds down range, breathe, pull that trigger slowly, .........

you will feel better.
