Should an area at the bar in restaurants comply with 904.4. for a point of sales and service?
 
Anytime I've seen this subject questioned the answer is been that at least one seating position in the bar has to meet the height and clearance requirements for ADA seating.
 
Simple answer is yes, unless you can show why you don't need to comply. With state and federal codes.
