Separate table for accessible service counter

Would you approve this? Owner has an existing service counter to be put in his new location. Needs an accessible service counter so he wants to use a separate table either as shown or at the end. I can't find a code to prohibit it.

It wouldn't be accessible in my state (sales and service counters can't exceed 34" in height), so no.

Ignoring that part, all I see in my state's code is that one of each type of sales or service counter shall be accessible. If the table serves the same purpose as the adjacent existing cash wrap station, then I personally see no problem with this layout. There might be an issue depending on how the areas around it are laid out, but based on the screenshot I think it's approvable.

I would not allow a table unless it is permanently attached to the floor or wall.

ADAS section 903, A117.1 section 904. Both say where check-out or service counters are provided, a section shall be accessible

That was my comment because they showed nothing. Architect asked if they could provide a "table" for the lowered section. I still can't find a prohibition. I find nothing that says it has to be bolted to the floor, or attached to the non-accessible portion. The architect said the owner said it is impossible to do. Of course I said nothing is impossible with the proper amount of will and skill. But, if I can't cite a code, I can't cite a code.
