Question to all the plumbing geeks. What if any separation is code required for horizontal branch offsets entering into a horizontal branch drain?

"mental picture" ............

Zero is a nice round number.

Question arises from a horizontal line serving multiple horizontal branches. Is a separation of those branches required where they meet the horizontal main line.

No provided pipe is sized for correct volume

That pipe size would be a 6" horizontal line serving multiple 4" lines each horizontal branch serving a dwelling unit. Each dwelling unit approx. (guessing max of 15 dfu's). Total of 8 dwelling units in the building

Take a look at IPC 710

From what you have posted, should not be a problem. Do not forget clean outs in laterals and building sewer.

Prince of Pen,

Ice and Gregg have it. There is no mention of seperation of entrys. IPC 710. Just make sure the sizes meet capacity reqirements.
