Service Line Side Distribution Blocks

A change in the 2017 code for distribution blocks on the line side of the service has been implemented and reads as follows for all distribution blocks and a specific listing requirement on the service line side.
NEC 314.28(E)(1)
(1) Installation. Power distribution blocks installed in boxes
shall be listed. Power distribution blocks installed on the line
side of the service equipment shall be listed and marked “suitable
for use on the line side of service equipment” or equivalent.

This is actually a clarification because this information was always in the UL White Book but not everyone was aware so it was changed in the code to reflect it.
