Anyone ever seen Insulating spray foam installed over say Cafco Blaze-shield SFRM in a 2 hour floor deck assembly?? Asking for a friend...Wondering if it does anything to the rating....

What does the ESS report on it say? We had a project that we specified a product that had insulating AND fire resistive ratings (required by the occupancy) but the GC's PM decided to change it to a different product to save some $$ without checking it out entirely. Product was installed, PM was terminated (other reasons), and the new PM checked to make sure it was an "equal". Turns out the (now) installed product did NOT have fire ratings and the GC had to coat the foam with an intumescent paint (tested and approved by the ESS report). Those $$ the original PM saved turned into $$$$ paid for the finished product.
