Would you require a stamped set of plans on an apartment set of stairs?

Some of you may have to require them by your state laws.

How big of a building? Replacement stairs or new building? IN CT all plans for buildings (And alterations) >5000sqft need a designers seal...

Ussually stairs are a delegated design item where the stair fabricator is required to submit signed and sealed shop drawings and calculations to the design team for review & approval. These signed and sealed shop drawings and calculations should be submitted to the AHJ as a deffered submittal.

Existing apartment complex with steel stair stringers with concrete steps being replaced with Fortress Evolution steel stair system. Plans came in without a stamp. I would normally require the plans to be stamped, just curious if that's the norm.

All they need to do is pay for the stamp and the manufacturer will supply it
