2009 IRC. A resident wants to put up a blow-up pool that is 30" deep. All ready has a fence that will work with some work on the gates.

This pool has no pump or electrical at all. Is bonding around the pool and the receptacle still required?

680.34 is the only section that may apply.

No receptacles within 6' of the inside wall of the pool.

Some of the larger blow-up pools have a pump with an attached 25 cord. The cord end has a built-in GFCI. The manual states just to run the long cord across the lawn, to the nearest outside receptacle. Now, that's a fun conversation to have as an inspector with the new, happy pool owner!
