Strip mall

So, I was designing a strip mall type of occupancy where I have 3 mercantile occupancy and 2 restaurants of 90m each and each have their individual exits towards outside, confused about the sprinkler requirements.

It's a Type IIB construction, size of each is 90m^2. IBC codes

If you use the IBC....then likely the restaurants require sprinklers at 5000square feet....

But each is less than 1000 sq ft - I think. 90 sq meters = 969 sq ft.

Maybe...but there is 5 spaces....I was thinking 90 meters square...not 90 square meters...damn metric system...

I'm not sure what size it is either, just thought each unit was 90 sq meters, not 90 meters x 90 meters - which would definitely require fire sprinklers.

Depending on size separate fire areas may work in lieu of a sprinkler system since that each have their own exiting.
