Can you install a threaded style p trap in a concealed location such as for a bath or shower on the 2nd floor where it will be drywalled below with no access?

Do they make a solvent type connection for this application? Plastic tail piece to pvc? what if the tail piece is brass?

michealj, yes they make a solvent type of connection - return bend and street 90* and overflow as well is made in solvent type of connection.
